Rental Terms
- $50/month for a washer and dryer set, or $60 every 2 months for a single machine, charged automatically to your card.
- Give 4 weeks' notice to end your rental. A pickup with less notice has a $50 short-notice fee.
- If a payment is still unpaid 2 weeks after it's due, a $20 late fee applies and we may pick up the machines.
- We keep the machines working. You're responsible for damage caused by misuse, and we are not responsible for water, fire, or other property damage.
This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are the agreement.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Weber Appliance Rentals ("we," "us") and the person signing up ("you"). You accept them by checking the terms box at checkout. That electronic acceptance counts as your signature. You must be at least 18 years old to rent.
2. The equipment
We rent you the washer, dryer, or both that you choose at checkout (the "Machines"), plus any cords or hoses we provide. Each Machine has an ID number that we record when we deliver it. We take photos of the Machines' condition at delivery and at pickup.
3. Rent and automatic payment
- Rent is $50 per month for a washer and dryer set, or $60 every 2 months for a single washer or dryer.
- Your first billing period is charged when you sign up. After that, rent is charged automatically on the same day each billing period: every month for a set, or every 2 months for a single machine.
- You authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your card on file for rent and for any fees described in these terms.
- Keep a valid card on file. You can update it anytime using the link in your payment emails, or by contacting us.
- There is no deposit and no delivery fee.
4. Failed payments and late fee
- If a payment fails, we will automatically retry your card and notify you by email.
- If rent is still unpaid 2 weeks (14 days) after its due date, a $20 late fee is added.
- Once rent is 14 days past due, we may also end your rental and pick up the Machines. You will still owe any unpaid rent and fees.
5. Ending your rental
- You may end your rental at any time by giving us 4 weeks' (28 days') notice by text or email.
- Rent continues through the end of the notice period. We will schedule pickup at the end of it.
- If you need the Machines picked up with less than 4 weeks' notice, a $50 short-notice fee applies.
- You agree to give us reasonable access to remove the Machines at pickup.
6. Delivery and installation
You are responsible for having working hookups where the Machines will go: hot and cold water connections and a drain for a washer, and a proper dryer outlet or gas connection and a vent for a dryer. Tell us at signup which dryer connection you have. If we can't install because hookups are missing or not working, we will reschedule.
7. Repairs
We will keep the Machines in working order at no cost to you. If a Machine stops working or seems to be malfunctioning, stop using it and contact us right away. We will repair or replace it within a reasonable time. Do not repair, modify, or service the Machines yourself or hire anyone else to.
8. Your responsibilities
- Use the Machines only for normal household laundry, following ordinary care (for example, cleaning the dryer lint screen every load and not overloading the washer).
- Don't move the Machines to a different address, sell them, lend them, or sublet them without our written permission. Text us if you're moving.
- You are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing a Machine that is damaged, lost, or stolen while in your care, other than normal wear and tear.
9. Ownership
The Machines belong to Weber Appliance Rentals at all times. Renting them does not give you any ownership rights.
10. Property damage and liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- We are not responsible for water damage, fire damage, or any other damage to your home, your belongings, or anyone else's property that results from the use of the Machines, including leaks, floods, and fires.
- We are not responsible for clothing or other items damaged during washing or drying.
- Our total responsibility to you for any claim related to this rental is limited to the amount of rent you paid us in the month before the claim arose.
- You are responsible for any claims made by your landlord or others arising from your use of the Machines.
We recommend renter's insurance. Promptly report any leak, unusual noise, burning smell, or other problem, and stop using the Machine until we've looked at it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or text before any change to rent or fees takes effect. If you don't agree to a change, you may end your rental as described in section 5, and the $50 short-notice fee will not apply.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the rental.
